

She and Donald Burke were married in 1951 in Angola, Indiana, and they were happily married for 67 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Broyles, Debbie Crum, Tammy (Jerry) Nelson, and Tonia Piper. Sister-in-law Sherry Edens, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Delores loved to sew. While the girls were growing up, she made most of their clothes. She would make patterns out of newspaper, or even from another item of clothing. The grandchildren could always look forward to homemade pajamas as a gift from her at christmas. She also loved gardening, working in her yard to have beautiful and well-tended flower beds. She and her husband Donald enjoyed travelling, and spent many winters in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, her sister Betty, three brothers; Russell, Edward, and Ronnie, and daughter Theresa Burke; son in law Donald Crum.
The family invites you to a visitation Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 1:30pm, Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, 1806 E. Michigan, Jackson, MI, with a service to follow at 2:30pm. Delores will be laid to rest next to her husband Donald at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
