

Of Napoleon, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the age of 82. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 ½ years, David Fleming; son, Dale Fleming and thirteen siblings. She is survived by her four children, Thomas (Glennis) Fleming, Dorothy Kay (Lee Linstruth) Vribes, Paul (Cheryl) Fleming, and Linda (John) Collins; daughter-in law, Kathy Fleming; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Helen Worth; as well as many loving family members and friends. Dorothy was the youngest of fifteen children born at home to John and Lucy (Wheaton) Sanford in Jackson. She attended Jackson Public Schools and married David on August 1, 1952. She retired from Camp International and was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was extremely proud of her large family and was close to all of them. She liked bingo, playing cards, dice, and cooking. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. A service celebrating her life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson.
