Elaine Emilie Buehrer

Age 92, of Jackson, Michigan died October 22, 2021 at Senior Moments Living Center where she was cared for with love during her final months of dementia. Elaine was born January 26, 1929 to Lawton and Emilie Church of Adrian, Michigan. She was married to Dale Buehrer on September 3, 1950 enjoying 71 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by both parents, her son-in-law Tracy Bennett and her grandson Caleb Bennett. Surviving family members are husband, Dale, son Wesley Buehrer and daughter Sharanne Bennett of Jackson, Michigan, daughter Beth Ankerholz and son-in-law Rich Ankerholz of Oskaloosa, Kansas. Grandchildren Scott Bennett and his wife Micael of Portage, Michigan, Tiffany Heuer and her husband Steve of Macomb Township, Michgan, and great-granddaughters Taylor Bennett of Jackson, Michigan and Samantha and Evie Heuer of Macomb Township, Michigan. During her career, Elaine worked at Bixby Hospital, Madison High School and Adrian College all in Adrian, Michigan, and, Foote Hospital and Consumers Energy of Jackson, Michigan. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was president of The Professional Secretary Institute. Elaine was devoted to her biological family and her church family. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she served as Church Secretary as well as a school board member of Trinity Lutheran School. A memorial will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 122 W. Wesley St. in Jackson, Michigan on November 4, 2021 at 11 AM. A one hour visitation will start at 10 AM before the service. Elaine will be buried at Ft. Custer in Battle Creek, Michigan during a private ceremony. Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or School of Jackson, Michigan.
