Frances D. Helmer

Of Westland, MI passed away on April 8, 2020 at her daughter's home under the care of family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice, she was 94. Frances was born on October 11, 1925 in Hillsdale Twp. MI to parents Earl and Hazel Seiple. Frances Helmer attended the Newburg United Methodist Church in Livonia, Michigan. She loved to spend time with her family, crochet, sew, play bingo, bake cookies, travel with friends, especially Betty Boyd, and work. After retiring from the Wayne-Westland School District she continued to work as a bookkeeper for a family member’s business until she was close to 90 years old. She was also active on her condo association board. She was very supportive of her children throughout their youth and adult lives. If asked for help, she always said, “Yes". Frances is survived by her children, Larry Helmer, Sharon Andrews, Linda (Gerry) Johnson, Diana Gasek, Dennis Helmer, grandchildren, Kristine Truitt, Nicole (Jeff) Mclellan, Jeffrey (Karen) Doak, Shannon (Scott) Suryan, Scott (Kate) Jones, Gabriel (Mandy) Cedillo, Gennifer (Adam) Paulsen, Elizabeth (Lynn) Helmer, Daniel Helmer, Megan (Zach) Pawson, and fifteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, George Seiple, H. Carlyle Seiple, Donald Seiple, Infant sister, Beverly Iris Seiple and Son, James Helmer. Because of the timing of her death there will be no visitation or funeral. A family memorial service will be held in the future. She will be interred at Cadillac Memorial Gardens - West in Westland, Michigan. Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers can be sent to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice, 100 E.
