Frank G. Eimer

Of Jackson passed peacefully from this life into God’s arms on Friday November 4, 2011 at the age of 90 years. He was born in Jackson, Mi. to George F. and Rose (Widmayer) Eimer. Frank was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Jackson and Jackson community College, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942-1946. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and formerly at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Survived by his loving wife of 68 years Beverly Eimer, and five children Frank J. (Marge) Eimer, Thomas D. (Mary) Eimer, Patricia J. (Robert) Russ, George F. (Suzette) Eimer and Joseph L. (Elisabeth) Eimer.

11 grandchildren, Frank J.’s children; Darcy and John Frank, Thomas’ children; Christine, Catherine and Benjamin, Patricia’s child Rebecca, George’s children; Michael and Theresa, Joseph’s children; Alecia, Jessica and Jason, one step grandson, 15 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by one grandson Robert Corey Russ.

Frank was a very loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends. He waited patiently to join our God whom he loved so much during his life. He was always unafraid to live yet not afraid to die.

Frank retired from the Peter Eckrich Co. after 23 years of service. Frank was active at the Crouch Senior Center and a volunteer at Foote Hospital. He loved God throughout his life. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Tuesday November 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Andrew J. Dunne officiating. Private burial St. Johns Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima- Building Fund.
