

Gerald C. Suddeth was the youngest son born to Richard M. & Ledora Suddeth on June 13, 1944 in Jackson, MI. He accepted Christ as a young man. He developed his love for outdoors while growing up on Meridian Rd – aka “the country”.
Following his 1962 graduation from Jackson High School, Gerald entered The United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged in 1965. While in the Air Force, Gerald completed the Air Policeman Course and was also recognized as Airman of the Month. After the Air Force, Gerald went to work for then, Western Electric.
In 1967 Gerald married the former Darlene Harrell. Through their union they have two beautiful daughters Alisa & Kendra. After 32 years of service he retired from SBC in 2001. He served faithfully as a deacon in the Baptist church for a decade.
Gerald was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He also found pleasure in listening to music and expressed his creativity by creating wood workings and perfecting his lawn. Gerald loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who reciprocated his love. He was well known for telling it like it was! There was no mistaking where you stood with Gerald!
Gerald made his transition to glory on April 15, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. Gerald was proceeded in death by his parents; Richard & Ledora Suddeth, sisters; LouElla McFadden & Mildred Ross, brothers; J. C. Williams, Claudelle Suddeth, Richard Suddeth, Jr. & James D. Williams. Gerald leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife of 45 years, Darlene, daughters; Alisa (Tony) Jackson & Kendra (Jeff) Henry; four grandchildren; Marcus, Adrienne, Tony II & Christopher; his five sister; Greta Stewart, Joyce Potter, Desseree Ryan, Leoma Rogers & OraLee Garrett, his brother, Charles Suddeth, Sr, a host of nieces, nephews & other relatives.
