Gloria M. Miller

Of Lansing, MI (formerly of Jackson) passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the age of 91. Gloria was born in Ypsilanti, MI on January 15, 1930, to parents Robert T. and Myrtelle Wilson. She graduated from Jackson High school and married Samuel (Jack) Miller on July 31, 1954. Gloria was a homemaker. She also had been a member of Grace Church (Gorham Baptist Church) since she was a teenager. Gloria lived in the Jackson area for most of her life. For the last several years, she was a resident of Vista Springs Assisted Living in Lansing. Gloria loved her family and friends, her pets and music. Gloria is survived by her daughters Susan Carey of Ohio and Marianne Miller of Holt; grandchildren Shadrach Miller of Lansing, Dawn Seals of Illinois and Aaron Seals of Ohio; and one great-granddaughter Raelynn Benecke of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years Samuel (Jack); father Robert T. Wilson; stepfather and mother Arthur and Myrtelle West; brother Robert M. Wilson; and companion Alan DeWolfe. Graveside services for the family were held on July 9, 2021, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Due to family health, there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's name to Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Dr., Jackson, MI 49202.
