Harold Eugene Steele

Of Jackson, MI, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Henry Ford Jackson at the age of 83. He was born on July 22, 1939 in Jackson, MI. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth "Betty"; mother, Belva Louise Steele; brothers, Everett Steele and Elwyn Steele; brother-in-law, Vern Miller; and sister-in-law, Mary Boyer. He worked as an expeditor at Clark Equipment company and also held positions at Kent Moore, Controlled Turning and Tenneco Automotive. Harold had a lifelong love for classic automobiles and enjoyed attending car shows and swap meets with his longtime car buddies. He was a member of the Cars of Distinction Car Club. Harold enjoyed getting his steps in with his walking group the “Jackson Crossing Walkers”. In his spare time, he loved to travel and also enjoyed golfing. Harold is survived by his loving daughters, Katherine "Katie" (Mike) Luppo and Constance "Connie" (Mark) Larson; grandchildren, Dustin, Brent (Kortani) and Dylan; great grandchildren, Kruze and Kennedy; sister, Marty Miller; brother, Dan Martin; and a host of special nieces and nephews. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest next to his wife at Roseland Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held at Irish Hills Eagles (9500 Wamplers Lake Road Brooklyn, Michigan 49230) on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M.
