Jamie Thomas Brockwell

Of Jackson, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the age of 49. He is survived by his loving wife of five years, Jenny Dee (Bortell) Brockwell; his children, Zakk Brockwell, Ke'Aira Brockwell, Jeana (Thomas) McDonald, Jaimee (Matthew) Brockwell, Haley (Shawn) Brockwell, Jayna Bortell (Kile) Michael Baker and Jasmyne Bodman; 13 grandchildren, Bailey, Anna, Estella, Zachariah, Zay'Air, Zoie, Jayden, Madelynn, Lincoln, Violet, Presley, Melody, Aurora; parents, Billy (Kathy) Brockwell and Marianne Doering; sister, Angie Brockwell and grandmother, Willie Lee Brockwell. He was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Betty Doering; Arvel Brockwell. Jamie was born in Jackson, MI on September 4, 1973. He is a 1991 graduate of Jackson High School and was currently employed at Parnell Correctional Facility, he worked in corrections for the past 24 years. He was a member of Michigan Center Eagles where he was an officer in both the Aerie board and the Eagle Riders group. Jamie also enjoyed shooting pool on leagues, in tournaments and just for fun; singing karaoke, riding motorcycles with his friends, taking nature walks as well as traveling places with his wife. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, 49202) The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and again on Monday one hour prior to the service.
