

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 94. Joan was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 5, 1931, to parents Ameddee Joseph and Lydia Denomie. She married her husband of 40 years, Robert E. Albrecht, on June 6, 1953. Joan was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She also was a 4-H leader for many years. Joan was an accomplished seamstress and an avid bowler. She also loved knitting, doll houses and miniatures, and needle point, owning JoAlyce's Antique and JoAlyce's Yarn. Joan loved traveling, and she made trips to Russia, German and Italy. She also loved her cats. Joan is survived by her daughters Judy (Tom) Richmond, Sarah (George) Webster, Susan (Larry) Povinelli, and Karen (Tim) Ryder; grandchildren Nicole (Keith) Rodmyre, Abby (Nick) Johnson, Nora (Jesse) Gensley, Amy (Josh) Davis, William (Nique) Todd, Robert Todd, Stephenie (Michael) Pingel, and Michelle (Ben) Shaffer; and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Ameddee and Lydia Denomie, husband Robert Albrecht, daughter Patty Sue Albrecht, grandchildren Laura and Emily Todd, and siblings Howard Woodworth and Nancy Parrish. A celebration of Joan's life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church (3501 Morrill Road, Jackson, Michigan 49201) with Visitation at St. Lukes from 10:00AM until of service She will be laid to rest at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church (German Lutheran Cemetery) (12051 Riethmiller Road, Grass Lake, Michigan 49240). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church (3501 Morrill Road, Jackson, Michigan 49201) or the charity of your choice.
