Of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 62. Joe was born on January 24, 1963, in Jackson, Michigan. A lifelong resident of Jackson, he graduated from Northwest High School in 1981 and went to work for the United States Postal Service for 27 years before retiring. Joe loved spending time with his family. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Ellen (McDonough) Newman; his children Andy (Tiffany) Newman, Jayme (Tyler) Newman, and Kalie (Dan) McKee; his grandchildren Everett, Emberlyn, Aleaha, Kaylee, Emma, Kingston Audi, Mia, and Bentley; his siblings Daniel (Karen) Newman and Amy Meek, as well as several nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Gerada (Tarpley) Newman. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
