Kathy Luppo

Of Brooklyn, earned her angel wings on August 31, 2017 after losing a short battle with cancer. Kathy was born April 9, 1962 to Douglas and Valerie Mainzinger in Monroe, MI. Kathy was a 1980 graduate of Monroe High School in Monroe, MI. She pursued her dream and became a registered nurse in 1998 and continued her education and received her BSN from Spring Arbor University in 2006. Kathy and her husband Greg built their dream home on Lake Columbia in Brooklyn, MI. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed going out on the lake, attending the Kentucky Derby with her girlfriends, and spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy's kind soul touched a lot of people. Kathy is survived by her husband, Greg; daughter, Ashley (Eric) Rowlson; three grandchildren, Brody(11), Bree (6), and Deegan (2); her mother, Valerie; twin sister, Karen Privett; sister, Michelle (Rich) Burman; twin brothers, Keith (Nichole) Mainzinger and Kevin (Jackie) Mainzinger; brothers, Michael (Mariann) Mainzinger and Brian Mainzinger; along with many nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Mainzinger; mother-in-law, Gloria Luppo; and Cooper Dogger. Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends and family at St. Rita’s Catholic Church (10720 Hayes Rd. Clarklake, MI. 49230) on Tuesday September 5, 2017 for a gathering at 10:00 A.M. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Please join us to celebrate her life.
