

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on May 12, 2025, at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the age of 59. Kelvin was born in Detroit Michigan on February 25, 1966, the youngest of the 11 children of Albert Bennie Chisolm and Annie Mae (Gardner) Chisolm. In his early years, Kelvin attended the Church of God. He was a long time Jackson resident, working as a prison guard for the State of Michigan mainly at the Cotton Correctional Facility in Jackson, Michigan and retiring after 30 years. Kelvin also became a licensed appraiser for the city of Jackson. He enjoyed eating new foods and sweets. Kelvin loved food, fun and family and was an avid University of Michigan fan. Kelvin is survived by brother David Earl Echols and sister Deliah Clark, special niece Cheryl Hill of Arizona, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Kelvin is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Annie Chisolm, siblings June, Billy, Barbara, Dennis Chisolm, William Grey, Carol, Jan and Frank Echols. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan) from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM followed by words of expression by family and friends from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
