Of Jackson, passed away on October 31, 2010, at the age of 47. Layton was born January 22, 1963 in Jackson to parents, Richard and Grace Stevens. He is survived by his children, Laura and Michael Stevens, Brandon Nichols; and siblings, Rick (Bobbi) Stevens, Debbie (Otis) Diamond, Tom (Vicki) Stevens, Penny Commet, Sue (Roy) McCall, Melissa (Juan) Contero and Susan Stevens; grandchildren, Dominick and Abbigail; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Layton E. Stevens, Jr. Layton was employed as a production worker with TAC Manufacturing in Jackson for several years. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home and family will receive friends Thursday, November 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Interfaith Shelter, 414 S. Blackstone, Jackson, MI 49201. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
