Livona Jequette O'Neal

Livona Jequette O’Neal was born February 17, 1962 in Jackson, MI to Wajeedah Shakoor and Charles West. She grew up with a religious background and loved being in her room listening to her records, dancing about while her younger siblings watched. Livona’s passion for music carried into her older years as a homemaker filling the home with beautiful melodies as she cleaned and cooked the most delicious meals prepared from her heart.

Livona loved to crotchet and watching her plants grow out to be as beautiful as she was. She also loved and took much pride in making sure she kept in close contact with all her family & close friends near and far. Livona would light up the room with her beautiful smile and you were sure to hear her coming with that big ole voice of hers (an O’Neal family trait).

Livona was preceded in death by her father Charles West, her grandmothers, Vera O’Neal and Helen West, stepfather Mustafa Shakoor, and an uncle Arthur O’Neal.

She leaves to cherish her memories her Mother, Wajeedah Shakoor, 3 children, Ayshia (William Jr.), Talicia (Diaja), and Larry Jr. (Tami). 6 siblings, Charisse, Ali (Kelli), Omar, Khadijah (Ted), Khalid (Erin), Rasool (Ashley), and 6 half siblings. Longtime boyfriend Larry Sr., 9 grandchildren, William III, Marquis, Myesha, Taleja, Mariyé, Rickyah, Saniyah, Josiah, and Jonah. She had 1 great-grandchild Kay’Lani, her aunt Darlene West, Her favorite Aunt Betty Dawson. And a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends which she loved dearly.
