Formerly of Jackson, passed away in Holland Michigan on Friday, November 6, 2015, at the age of 61. He is survived by his children, Gena Gordon, Joshua Gordon and Kristy (Brian) Keith; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Tristen, Sean, Travis and Brianna; one great grandchild, Temperance; four siblings, Lyndell (Marie) Gordon, Cheryl (John) Henegar, Tom Gordon and Robert Gordon as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Sue Burchett. Lonnie was born in Jackson, on August 18, 1954 to Emmett and Mary Katherine (Farmer) Gordon. He is a graduate of Northwest High School. He was employed as a tool maker, enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and traveling. He had a strong faith in the Lord and was a Pastor at Antioch Baptist Church. A service honoring his life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son funeral home on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Weich officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
