Loretta Ann Schuler

Our precious mother, Loretta Ann Schuler, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the age of 79. Born to Charles and Analeen Schuler December 26, 1941, she was one of seventeen children and devoted her life to taking care of her family. In her younger years she helped raise and nurture her siblings, while taking care of her mother. She later met the love of her life, Richard “Abey” Ellis, and had children of her own to love and take care of. She watched her children grow, helping them all the while, and greeted her grandchildren with loving smiles and warm embraces. In her later years she was blessed with great grandchildren to welcome into her family. Loretta was a strong, vibrant woman with exceptional family values and enough heart to love all who she met. Preceded by siblings, Charles Jr., Roger, Larry, Dennis, Rickey, Richard and Baby Girl. Survived by children, Heather (Ricky), Chris (Chad) and Josey. Grandchildren, Maura (Dominic), Alana (Nick), Destiny (Tony), Ryck (Emily), Hailee, Jeremiah, Laci, Giovanni “Johnny” and Jaycee. Great Grandchildren, Nicco, Luca, Remington, Mauriana, Koulten, Stella, Elena, Carter and Elliott. Siblings, Ronald, William, David, Delores, Sharon, Diane and Carol (Keith), and many nieces, nephews and many friends. A celebration of Loretta’s life will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM at (Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home 1806 E. Michigan Ave.), with visitation on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Loretta will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery with her family.
