Of Jackson, passed away at the age of 53 on Friday, January 6, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Smith; three children, Shelby (Logan Neil) Smith, Valerie (Devan) Hanson and Bessie (Bryce) Hamilton; parents, Harvey and Char Smith; grandmother, Bessie Kernodle; brother, Aaron (Lisa) Smith; sister, Kristen (Doug) Larkey of Colorado Springs; aunt, Judi Rugani. Mark was born in Alliance, Ohio on April 15, 1969. After graduating from Lumen Christi in 1987 he continued playing football at Olivet College, where he graduated with a BAC in Sales and Marketing. Mark and Linda were married on April 24, 1993 and together they raised their family. He was an avid outdoorsman and was active in Ducks Unlimited Barry O’Brien Chapter. Along with cooking and grilling for his family, Mark had many hobbies like spending time at Silver Lake Sand Dunes with family. Cremation has been chosen and there will be a Celebration at the Queen of the Miraculous Catholic Church (1111 Carlton Blvd. Jackson, MI 49203) on Sunday January 15, 2023 at 2:00 P.M..
