Of Jackson, died Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 65, due to complications during surgery. He leaves behind his partner, Pat; his daughters, Michelle and Elizabeth; his son, Todd (Amber); two grandchildren, Derrick and Sienna; his brother, Jim (Florence); his sister, Cathy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas. Michael was born to James and Arvella (Grimm) Kearns on January 21, 1951 in Jackson, where he resided for most of his life. Mr. Kearns was a dedicated Catholic and active member of the church – in particular, his frequent appearances and participation in events at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church where a Christian Burial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. with Fr. Tim Nelson Officiating.
