Michael was the son of Brett and Shirley Stiles and a lifelong resident of Jackson. He shared 19 years of marriage with the love of his life, Donna Jean Stiles, whom he wed on July 22, 2006, and together they spent 29 years building a life and family.
Michael is survived by his children, Kali (Jacob) Brigham and Kadin Michael Stiles (Lila); and his cherished grandchildren, Nash Thomas, Breslin J., and Knox Michael. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Donald and Brenda Carr; his grandmother, Erma Noppe; his siblings, Scott (Sarah) Stiles, Donald (Nicole) Carr II, Heather (Julio) Hernandez, Heidi (Jerrad) Morris, and Brianna Carr; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews: Annabell, Elaina, Tristan, Morgan (Hannah), JC (Ben), Dana, Donnie (Alley), and Braxton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Stiles Sr.; his grandmother, Sharon Stiles; and his nephew, Maddox D’Lamater.
Above all else, Michael was known as a selfless man—someone who never hesitated to show up when needed. If you said the word, Mike was there. He had a deep passion for working on and building motorcycles and classic cars, training in boxing and MMA, and sparring with his son, Kadin. Known for his spirited debates and strong opinions, Michael brought energy and humor into every room he entered.
What mattered most to him was time spent with his family, friends, and grandbabies. Some of his favorite moments were fight nights with Kadin and the boys—Tristan, Holden, Braylen, Ian, Davin, Dylan, Hector, and Tobin—memories that will be carried forward with pride and love. One moment that always stood out was the pure excitement on his face the day he bought Kali her first dirt bike, eagerly teaching her how to ride it and sharing in every second of that experience. These memories will be carried forward with pride and love.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Burden-Patience–Montgomery Funeral Home,
1806 East Michigan Ave., Jackson, Michigan 49202.
Michael’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the hands he helped, and the family he loved so fiercely.
