Mona Knight

Of Jackson Michigan, passed away on January 7th 2017 age 65. Mona Knight was born in Big Rapids Michigan to George and Gwendolyn Harris on April 15th 1951. Mona enjoyed cooking and worked as a professional cook at Dons Airport restaurant for many years until she retired. In her younger years she enjoyed photography, archery, and was an avid water skier. Most of all Mona was a mother, wife, and grandmother who loved her family fiercely. For those lucky enough to know her Mona was a loyal and loving friend, who always went above and beyond to help those in need. Mona is preceded in death by her Parents George and Gwendolyn Harris; two sisters, Ivah and Nancy; and her son, Jason. Mona is survived by her husband Curtis T. Knight; sister, Mary; sons, Joel, George, Curtis Jr., and Tommy; daughters, Barb, Fay, and Mary; 21 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Friday January 13th, 2017 at 9:30 am. with Pastor Corey Pryor officiating. Following the funeral, burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Thursday January 12th from 4pm to 7pm.
