Of Jackson, passed away at Henry Ford Health at the age of 76 on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Colleen Miles; sons, Edward (Barbara) Miles, Jerome (Sarah) Miles; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Judy VanEpps and brother, Earl Miles, Sr. as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Jr. and two infant sons, David and Troy; siblings, Robert Miles, Richard Miles, Helen Striker, Donna Eichelberger, Nancy Loomis and Carl Miles, Jr. “Sonny”. Ray was born in Jackson, Michigan on December 12, 1948 to Carl and Elizabeth Miles. He attended East Jackson Schools and spent his career as an auto mechanic and tool and die maker. He was a hardworking family man and enjoyed anything that went fast and being outdoors. He was a friend to many and was always willing to help others when he could. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
According to his wishes, cremation has been chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
