Of Jackson, MI passed away on June 14, 2016 at the age of 78. Ren was born on May 6, 1938 in Roger City MI, to parents Renwood S. and Mary Faye Flagg. He married Janice on December 8, 1973 in Jackson, MI. He retired from Spring Arbor University, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, Ren loved amateur radio, small air craft association and, he recently earned a certificate of Theology from Princeton Theology Seminary. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Janice, children, Stephen L. (Debbie) Flagg, Stephanie (Norman) Flagg Hanley, grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Levi, sister in laws, Mary Lou Middlebrook, Carolyn (Tom) Brunk, and Donna Stockamp, and numerous nieces and nephews. Per his wishes cremation has been chosen, a celebration of Ren’s life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church (743 W. Michigan Ave. Jackson MI) at 2:00pm, with Pastor Jim Hegedus officiating. Visitation from 1:00 pm till time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for medical expenses.
