Of Jackson passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Irene Bremby and grandson, Toni Bremby. She is survived by four grandchildren: Shawn McClain of Arizona, Stacy McClain of Kalamazoo, Michael (Darissa) Littlejohn of Jackson and Missy (Henry) McClaurin of Detroit; sixteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. A Home going service will be held at Second Baptist Church 304 E. Prospect on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 12:00 p.m., with a family hour at 11:00 a.m. the Reverend Darius Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, for visitation, on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Woodland cemetery.
