Robert August Anderson

Of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the age of 71. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Diana Anderson; three children, Sean (Leah), Nicole and Christopher Anderson; two grandchildren, Samantha and Ethan; sister, Dorothy Stankiewicz; brother, Andrew (Rose) Anderson as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Don Fettig. Bob was born in Bay City, MI on May 24, 1945 to August and Marguerite (Moore) Anderson. After graduating from Central High School, in Grand Rapids he served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was employed at Goodyear Tire and retired from Sercombe Trucking. He was a proud, hardworking family man and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and NHRA. Cremation has been selected and there will be a service honoring his life at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the services. With Pastor Don Deaver officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
