Of Jackson, passed away suddenly on February 6, 2012, at the age of 63. Roger was born on September 20, 1948 in Lansing, MI. He worked as a sergeant for the State of Michigan Corrections Department. Roger was a talented musician, DJ, and was an Okinawan Shorin Rye Karate Instructor for 43 years. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Phyllis; children, Christy (Dan) Olivier, Aaron (Virginia) Pratt, Amy (John) Rogers, Jeff Henman, Jamie (Shannon) Henman; grandchildren, Emily, Alli, Jaden, Marlie, Deegan, Jenna, Nathan, Marcy, Jessica, Raechal, Leah, Austin, Nick, Riley, Payton; siblings, Nancy (Joe) Heiler, Mary Jo (John) Walker, Greg (Beth) Pratt, Joann (Bud) Bosarge, Carol (Don) Engel. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Jeanette and his brother, Rick Pratt. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church (1505 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson) with visitation from 11:00 am until time of the service.
