Of Spring Arbor, passed away at his home on Monday, April 25, 2016 at age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Elaine (Welch) England; two daughters, Margo (Paul) Pearson and Michelle (Marc) Nelson; four grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Pearson, Madison and Mason Nelson all of Texas; two brothers, David (Joanne) England and Michael (Barbara) England; two sisters, Virginia Burroughs and Judith Cudworth; aunt, Edna Swetland; as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. Ron was born to Hubert and Bessie (Duckham) England in Jackson, MI on March 12 1937. He graduated from Jackson High in 1955 where he loved playing hockey. He was attending Jackson Junior College when he was drafted into the United States Army. After his honorable discharge he continued his education and received an Associate’s Degree. He retired from Lally, Cummings, Palmer, and Patch C.P.A. after many years of service. Ron was a 32nd Degree Lifetime Mason at Parma Lodge #183 and was Past Master, as well as a Shriner. While visiting London in 2009 he so enjoyed taking a tour of the oldest Masonic Lodge and listening to its rich history. He was also an avid NASCAR fan having season tickets to the June race since MIS opened. He loved arguing politics with his brothers, playing golf, bowling, and listening to NPR. He loved a good practical joke. What Madison remembers most is that he was funny. Mason and Meme had a hot wheel collection that is quite large. Ron was a loyal man, loving husband, father and grandfather. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. The main thing is that we loved him more than he will ever know! According to his wishes, cremation has been selected and there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Parma Masonic Lodge # 183 and mailed to Virginia Burroughs, 7753 Dana Lane, Parma, MI 49269.
