Hey uncle Sam it's me Sondra😰. I'm having a hard time accepting this. We had so much to do still. I knew if I had my uncle I was always gone be straight. Me and my babies. We not doing so well without you unc. My heart is shattered unc. My babies are hurting like never before. They gone miss uncle Sam pressing them up against the wall or talking crap to them beating them up. I haven't gotten my hair done or should I say colored red in a while but you loved it when I changed my color and told me you was the finest thang on this side of the grand river and you sure was and will always be unc. I love you so much and this hurts me to have to say goodbye so suddenly. I'm gone miss you so much me and my kids uncle Sam. I'm trying to hold us together and be strong but it's hard to move on. I love you and thanks for always having me and my babies. I wasn't ready.  Rest up old Sam until we see one another.

Sam Austin and I were very good friends.  We met, and became friends, the first day of 7th grade and were constant companions into our early adulthood.  I am so sorry he is no longer with us.  RIP Sammy.  


I miss Sammie’s smile talking to me about family gathering and enjoying himself. Sammie called me the day before he passed. He was excited about duel me on the phone and we could see each other. I had sent him some family pictures of me and two other cousin and we laugh because he didn’t recognize me in the picture . Family was very important to Sammie and the last thing he said to me was Jo I Love you ❤️ 💔. I will never forget the big smile he had on his face. Fly high Sammie and watch over our family and I know you really love you son because you always talked about how little Sammie came to my barber shop and met me. Love 💔your cousin Jo Atkins.

R.I.P  my friend and coworker for the last 35years. 

Going to miss my big brother calling to just calling to say hi calling me moses which was a playful name he would call me since we were younger going  to my poot. Rip. Kiss all the others for me until we be together again

Cousins ,family I am so sorry we have loss Sammy  , he was such a good cousin I'm  going to miss his twice a week calls ,  When he called me Monday evening he was so excited to be able to facetime to see my face we laugh so hard, he kept saying I love you Jan,  this new phone is so sweet , my heart is so broken we had gotten really close ,Gonna miss you cousin 

A  Celebration of his life will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, MI.49202) on Thursday, October 13, 2022 1:00 PM with Pastor Melvin Hartman officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
