Of Jackson, passed away Ridgecrest Health Center on April 27, 2015, under the loving care of her daughter, Georgia Ryall, the loving staff of Ridgecrest and Hospice at the age of 95. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Ethel Sharlow, son Larry Arendsen, daughter, Pam Kusick, two brothers, Walt and Arthur “Bud” and one sister, Evelyn. Survived by three daughters, Elaine (Bill) Britten of Florida, Georgia Ryall, Sharon Arendsen of Jackson, one son, Dale Arendsen of Jackson, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and several special friends at Ridgecrest. Through her life, Velma was a loving wife, mother and friend. She loved to do puzzles, participate in activities, gardening and playing bingo and win!!. She was a wonderful hostess and enjoyed welcoming new residents and helping them get to know their new surroundings. Velma will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday May 1, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. Burial Leoni Cemetery. Visitation Friday 12:30 until service time.
