Alvis "Al" Sitz

Alvis Samuel “Al” Sitz, 57, passed away peacefully April 9, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, he graduated from Fletcher High School and was a member of the Order of DeMolay, Ribault Lodge. Al worked in automobile parts and enjoyed the casual laid-back lifestyle of the beach and his hometown.

Preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Marie Sitz, he is survived by his wife, Gloria Sitz; son, Samuel Sitz (Elizabeth); daughter, Gwendolyn Sitz; grandson, Sean Sitz; siblings, Margaret Semones (Ray), Carolyn Norton, Michael Sitz, Robert Sitz, David Sitz (Sally) and Rebecca Caudill (Mike); step-children, Theresa Shupe (Jason) and Ryan Patterson and their children, Rylee Patterson, Aubrey Patterson-Holton, Gabriel Patterson, Rufio Shupe and Elsie Shupe; Gloria’s parents, Joseph & Theresa Rementer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, April 18th at 4 p.m. at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach. Please wear casual beach or tropical attire.
