Bobby was brilliant and funny, he enjoyed cooking and reading. Bobby’s heart was the biggest we have ever seen.
He leaves behind his parents Barbara Sanders Walker and Bobby Ray Price Sr. (Rose); a sister Carey Price Whitten; a brother Bryant Price and nephew Garrett Littrell. He will be missed more than words can ever express.
The world is a sadder place without him in it. Bobby died of an overdose on July 10, 2017. At last Bobby is at peace, he struggles no more. The disease of addiction thrives in darkness and must be defeated in the light. We write this not to dishonor his memory but to shine some light on an illness that is taking the lives of far too many.
If we allow shame, guilt, or embarrassment to cause this illness to become a dark family secret, hiding in the shadows, everyone loses. Bobby now joins the ever expanding list of fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren taken far too soon by this growing healthcare epidemic. But please remember Bobby isn’t just a statistic, he was our beloved son, brother, nephew and friend.
Words cannot describe how much he will be missed. Our hearts are shattered into pieces. In memory of our Bobby we ask that you reach out to someone who is struggling with this disease in hopes of leading them out of the darkness. Talk to the children in your life and discuss the devastating effects of drug use and addiction.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to Sulzbacher Center of Jacksonville Florida http://www.sulzbachercenter.org/support-us/donate-now
