

Claire Louise Richenbacher, age 87, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly a resident of Lakeland, FL, and West Hazelton, PA, passed away on November 1, 2012 following an extended illness. Born in Hazelton, PA, she was the daughter of Beatrice (Howis) Schwabeland and John Edward Schwabeland. In 1946, she married her high school sweetheart, Edwin Henry Richenbacher.
They resided in West Hazelton, PA prior to relocating to Lakeland, FL in 1970. While in Lakeland, she worked as a dental office manager, and was an active member of the congregation of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack Edward Schwabeland (Greensboro, NC), and a sister Donna (Schwabeland) McDermott (Leetsdale, PA) as well as her parents. She leaves behind her husband, Edwin Henry Richenbacher (Jacksonville, FL); son, Alan Gregg Richenbacher (Diane, Coplay, PA); and daughter, Lynne Ann Richenbacher (Jacksonville, FL); three grandchildren, Stacey Kegel, Kimberly Rivers, and David Fedele; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Kegel and Andrew Rivers; as well as other extended family and many friends who loved her dearly.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the Staff of Cypress Village Healthcare Center and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida for their compassionate care provided during the course of her illness. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10th, in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., with Pastor Dana Brones presiding.
