

David Terry Robinson, 64, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on September 1, 2016 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. David was born in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday, February 17, 1952 to Charles Walker and Eleanor Crum Robinson. David attended Lake Shore High School in College Park and was proud to say he was the Quarterback. David completed his undergraduate degree in Micro Biology and then earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
In 1983 David started Southco Industries at the age of 30 here in Jacksonville, Florida. Southco was an industrial distribution company serving paper mills and chemical plants in and around Jacksonville, Florida. After 25 years, Southco closed due to his illness in 2007.
David’s greatest passion in life was fishing whether in the intracoastal or 60 miles or more offshore for marlin. He was a black belt karate instructor and loved scuba diving and hunting. He lived life to the fullest.
David is survived by his wife; Glenda Williams Robinson; a daughter: Tresca Reeves (Peter) of Houston, Texas and three grandchildren; a brother; Charles B. Robinson (Suzanne) OF Richmond Hill, Georgia and many nieces and nephews who all adored him as well as family and friends.
