Glenda, it's hard to believe that a year ago today Dave went home to be with our Heavenly Father. We thought of Dave with love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about him yesterday, and days before that too. We think of Dave in silence, and often speak his name. Now all we have is memories, and Dave's picture in a frame. His memory is our keepsake with which we'll never part. God has Dave in His keeping, and we have him in our heart. We miss you our dear treasured friend, but we know we will meet again one day thanks to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. With heartfelt and loving memory.

Not sure where to begin. David Robinson was a husband to my Nana, father figure to my mother & a grandfather to me. I will never forget our long talks or his amazing wisdom & intelligence. He was a true, hard-headed/headstrong Georgia bulldog (#17)! He was meant to be a part of our family & we are blessed to have known him! I will miss you everyday & look forward to seeing you in heaven. Love you Big Dave! Now you are free to fly (or fish)!

In loving memory of my best friend.  

 I met Dave close to 35 years ago.  Immediately, we became friends because we had so much in common.  We were both from Georgia; loved the Bulldogs and enjoyed fishing very much.  Saying that Dave wasn't determined in all he did is a huge understatement. When I first met Dave he wasn't much of a hunter because he spent so much time on the water.  He agreed to give hunting a chance, bought a rifle and about a dozen deer later he had made his statement in that sport. We joined several hunting clubs in Georgia and Dave always found a way to bag the best deer.  He decided that hunting was so much fun that he began bow hunting to extend the season.  He actually harvested one of his best deer while listening to a Dawg game at 1:00 p.m one Saturday afternoon.  If you have been to his home, it is easy to spot it is the one that has the arrow on the deer's rack.

At one time, I was responsible for putting on golf tournaments for the company where I worked. I talked Dave into playing and he had only played a few times. Dave's theory on golf was ball see hole, go find it he did not hold back on the course. Playing in one of our tournaments; our group walked up to a par 3 and I took a golf ball out of my bag and said you should try this one. He teed the ball, took a swing and the ball bounced twice and went in the hole.  He had a hole in one after a few times playing. He had made his statement in that sport as well.

David Robinson was one of a kind. Back in 2004, I was having open heart surgery. Needless to say, I was not excited about that venture. I was in the pre-op room awaiting my fate. I looked up and there stood Dave. How did you get in here I asked? It was easy, I told them I was your brother. His presence there really meant everything to me.

Dave and Glenda were family to my wife Susan and I. We will always cherish the memories that we shared with them. Dave, I know you are probably looking down on us now. Don't worry about Glenda, Susan will look after her.

Rest in Peace Dave. You'll be missed our treasured friend!

David was a Lakeshore High friend and we spent some summers visiting at Jackson Lake.  I have thought of him often over my adult life amiably and respectfully.  He was a class act at a young age being the Quarterback of a fine football team and a popular man on campus.  I remember him as always being humble, funny and a friend to all around him.  Would like to have known him as a fisherman in later years.

Glenda & family - Dave blessed so many people with his faith, kindness, and fond memories. Praying that you'll find comfort in your memories of him and in the knowledge that others are missing him. 

We're going to miss our treasured friend and all the good times we shared. The memories will live in our hearts forever and will always put a smile on our faces or bring much needed laughter. As we count our blessings today, we thank God for blessing our lives with you and Dave. You were more than our best friends, you were family, and we mourn the loss of Dave as one of our own.

This is Tresca again. I was thinking about the last time I saw Big Dave... I had not seen my Mama or Big Dave in over 7 years, I had NEVER gone so many years without seeing my Precious Mana, but our lives were such that neither could make the trip in all of those years. But my husband, Peter, said I'll drive you so you can see your Mama & see Big Dave - he drove 4 hours from Abbeville Louisiana (that's where he works all week) to Houston, picked me up & we drove 4 hours back to Louisiana, stayed the night, then drive 13 hours the next morning into Jacksonville Florida. What a reunion we all had!! Big Dave did not look the same at all, but his mind was as intelligent & sharp as ever! We all had such a great time together didn't we Mama? We didnt fix our hair or do makeup, we just spent our time hanging with each other & laughing! Laughter is good for the soul!!  Those few days last December will forever be treasured in my heart & in my soul. Sorry to all the rest of my family because I just didn't have time to see everyone, and I needed to spend my time with Mama & Big Dave!! I'm so thankful I got to see you & tell you that I love you face to face Big Dave!!  We love you!!❤

Big Dave! That's what we called him once I had my girls. He was bigger than life, no doubt. He was always good to me, Cayla & Megan - they thought he was the Coolest! He was not in good health for the last several years, but he was still funny & could make people laugh! We loved him & will miss him always. Be at peace Big Dave!!

David did have a wonderful zest for life and lived it to his fullest.  Many good memories we all share in the fishing circles.  Forever peace to you now David.

David was our QB on the 69/70 team. a great classmate and even better teammate. Please express my deepest sympathy to his family. Respectfully, Max Shockley

I was so sad to hear of David's passing.  I know you've had your hands full these past few years caring for him.  I've known David since kindergarten and went to school with him all the way thru until he transferred to UGA during college.  As you know, we spent 10 years together as a couple and I look back on these times as fun, busy, with many ups and downs.  He was an outgoing, opinionated, intelligent, and loving person.  You are in my thoughts and I hope you can cherish your good memories (as I can) before he started having health problems. Now he is with his mother whom he loved dearly. That is consoling to me and I hope to you.
