Well its been over a year since we had our last conversation never knew it was going to be our last but ill cherish the memories we had in school and class reunion and finding you on facebook and talking about it all again ill miss you my friend and will always keep remembering you. Cindy Taylor

This poem reminded me of her love of family and friends.     " A limb has fallen from the family tree, I keep hearing a voice that says " Grieve not for me. Im counting on you.  My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how truly was blessed. Continue traditions no matter how small. Go on with your life don't worry about the falls. My deepest sympathies  to Donna’s family. I absolutely enjoyed our laughs and giggles in dependency court between hearings while I was cutting my teeth as a young attorney.  We remained Facebook friends even after I moved on from Duval.  In her post she shared her past, present, future, her sorrows and her happiness.  It was a pleasure to have known her.  She will be missed by many.  

Shaun, Jasper, and Brandon, I’m so sorry for the loss of your precious mother. So sad and heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and all the family. When your mom and I met when you all lived in Waycross, Georgia, we became instant friends. We met through Shaun and my son Gary, who became friends in school there. She was so easygoing and fun to be with, and such a kind-spirited and giving person. We both loved the beach. I always enjoyed my weekend visits with her in Jacksonville. We would go to the beach and shopping at the little beach shops, and talked and watched DVD movies at night at her charming little home. She always made sure I had a good time. I will always remember her smile and laugh. So many good memories with her that I will cherish. She will be missed. Rest In Peace, Donna.

I was  shocked to learn of Donna’s passing because I had just had a conversation at the courthouse with her shortly before she passed. I had told her how impressed I was with her as a fellow court reporter because I have filled in for her on occasion when she had transcripts to prepare. I told her that she had the hardest assignment in the whole courthouse because Donna worked in the juvenile courtrooms for years and they are very difficult for many reasons.
I wish that after all her years of hard work that she could have enjoyed a bit of retirement because I know firsthand how hard she worked at her job for all those years.
To Donna’s family, just know she loved you all with all she had, and please do not ever forget that.

I was Donna's hairstylist for many years, my greatest memory of her was when Donna first started seeing me for haircuts and feather hair extensions- she was the queen of feather hair extensions! She always looked so beautiful and had such a warm caring heart and a smile that lit up the room. Her and I always had great conversations that really grew us into a great friendship which I will always cherish. I will miss you so much Donna, this absolutely heartbreaking. My condolences go out to Donna's family and friends ♥️

I knew Donna 43 years ago and of course we caught up with Facebook we found each other again and we were so happy to reminisced about our time in Cherry Point, NC. we were suppose to meet up again. I am going to miss her talks at night. We were neighbors at the Marine Corps Air Station where we were both stationed in 1977-80. Her son Shaun was a baby about the same age as my daughter. I will miss her I love you my friend R.I.P ❤️ 

Donna was a wonderful and devoted mother, first and foremost. She always had a sweet story to share of her children and precious grandchildren. 

She was my sweet and kind neighbor and friend, for many years across the street when married to Gary, who she loved with her whole heart❤️

We continued to be friends through Fb and phone visits over the years, We planned future beach walks once Covid went away…..
so very sorry to hear of this tremendous loss to her family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

So sorry for your loss, she was a good friend. Last time We talked, was a few months ago. Didn't know she was sick, I hate it so bad for you all. We stayed in touch on FB & talked lots about r families. She loved hers so very much, last time I saw her was at one of our class reunions of '77. That's when she & your dad was together. I dated Donna for 12 years, she captured my heart with her smile, wit, and her love of life and the beach.
 She once mention that she use to play the piano, I got her a key board.  She could play it just by listening to a song for awhile. She had a fine ear for music. When ever she played it was like attending a free concert. 
  She also enjoyed her home life. She enjoyed working in the yard. It become a show place. On every Halloween, she would put a fire pit in the driveway and hand out candy.  She would also give tours  to families that wanted to see her yard and front porch built by her brothers.
  She also enjoyed attending Pirate festivals that showcase the local arts and crafts.  Dressed as a Pirate, she was very attractive, loved the attention and made many friends.
  In my closing, I would like to say that she was a loving person,  loved God, her family, and co workers.
  It was a shock that she died so early in her life.  She will be missed by all and thats a testament to having a wonderful life. 
  I will miss her, a bright flame that went dark to early.   



My cousin Donna was such a beacon of light. She knew I loved classic cars and would  forward pics on face book of cars that she knew would bring a smile to my face. She also loved music and shared  some of her favorites with all of us on face book. I truly miss her post and will continue to remember and miss the post that would lift my spirits. She truly loved and cared about her family and friends and you could see that in her heart and soul.  I will miss You  and look forward to hearing some beautiful music with you  in heaven one day your cousin  Marshall Whitley

I met Donna over 17 years ago working in the court system. Never did I ever see her without a smile.  We had just talked a few  weeks before she  passed. Words cannot express how much she's missed. Heaven has gained another sweet angel.  Donna spread your beautiful wings and fly high. ❤ Geri Darlington 

Donna always had a smile on her face every time I saw her.  She was a joy in the courtroom. Donna spoke lovingly of her family and all her travels. She will be greatly missed. ❤️

I had known Donna for only 5 years or so and primarily as her accountant and tax CPA.  But, everytime we met she was always so kind and gentle. She spoke so wonderfully of her fellow colleagues and friends. She never stopped smiling. She was very proud of her home and the beautiful gardens she maintained which told me even more about her heart and character.  I will miss her dearly as a friend.  All my love and sympathies during this tragic time to her family.

I am so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing!  We were very close friends in High School! We lost contact for years, but found each other on facebook about 6 years ago. We shared memories of our teenage years, marriages, children but most importantly Grandchildren!! She was a beautiful soul. She truly loved her family. I sure will miss all those pictures  and comments we shared of our precious Grands! Go Rest High On That Mountain My Dear Friend  You Will Be Missed!! I will be Praying for your Family
