

Marie was a resident of Jacksonville Beach, FL since 1962, where she worked as the Household Goods Officer at Naval Station, Mayport, FL for 24 years. In this position, she received many awards and accolades, including the Meritorious Civil Service Award.
She enjoyed making quilts, taught her daughters to crochet, loved playing golf and bowling, and especially watching the University of Florida footballs games. GO GATORS!!!
She was predeceased in 2001 by her husband of 35 years, Ellis Crane, and by her sister, Ernestine Campbell of Texas. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters Wanda Reynolds, Tincy Robinson, Peggy Boyd and Caroline Palmer, all of Texas; and 2 daughters, Gladys Mongeau and Pam Dickinson (Lynn), both of Jacksonville Beach, FL; four granddaughters, Melissa Mongeau Kelemen, Teresa Mongeau Williams (Brad), Suzanne Mongeau and Victoria Starnes Wright (Donell), all of Jacksonville Beach; 5 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons. She also leaves behind 2 special people whom she loved like daughters – Paula Walker Coenen and Connie Turbeville.
The family wishes to thank Connie and all the wonderful people at Some Place Like Home, who took care of Mrs. Crane for the past 6 years. There is no better care than to be treated like family.
Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Beaches Chapel (904)249-2374 located 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. 32250. The family will family and friends for a visitation on Sunday, November 09, 2014 from 4-6pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 10,2014 at 11:00am.
