Henry Edward Hoyle Jr.

Henry E. Hoyle Jr. 67, beloved, Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Cousin, Uncle, Friend and Mentor passed away on February 27, 2013. Henry was born in Jefferson, Georgia December 26, 1945 and resided in Jacksonville, FL since 1971 with his wife. Henry was a Navy Veteran serving from 1963-1969. He was an established and successful General Contractor for over 40 years. His work can be seen and appreciated throughout the city of Jacksonville. He was a kind man with a big heart.

Henry had an amazing love of life. He enjoyed playing cards, spending time with the love of his life Cleo, and socializing with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 49 years, Cleo M. Hoyle; Son, John Robert Hoyle (Dee Dee); adopted children, Frank D. Tarrant (Terri) , Lorrie Davis-Stavola; sister, Celia Rosser (Kenny); grandchildren , Jennifer T. Browning (Kenneth), Jason (JK) Tarrant , Jacqueline Davis; goddaughter, Cassie Collet(Dan); close cousin, “little” Henry Hicks; and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to recognize close family friends: Janice Anderson (John, David, and Susie), Bonnie and Mike Morrison, Gordon and Linda Meade, Helen and Fritz Fritzgerald (Brandon, Sean) Vicky and Danny Johnson, Robert and Ann Parker, and Mike and Denise Gowdy. The family would also thank to show appreciation for family friend and Doctor, Dr. Duane Bork. A special acknowledgment is made to Henry's childhood and lifelong friend Gregory Galpahin.

The family would lastly like to thank all the neighbors and “bubbas” that work alongside Henry and supported him throughout the years. A celebration Henry’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7th in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. Interment will follow, with military honors, in Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
