Janice Wanamaker Rudd, 72, ended her journey on January 9, 2015 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park. Janice was born, raised, and was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Before her illness, she worked for over 20 years at Sally Industries. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church of the Beaches. She had a pulmonary embolism on April 11, 2005, which resulted in her remaining years being spent in nursing homes.
Janice was predeceased by her parents Charles and Leona Wanamaker, siblings Jacob Wanamaker, Roberta Haworth and James Caruthers, and her grandson Christopher Rudd. She is survived by siblings Tommie Dennison, Jessie Colborn, Don Wanamaker, and Paulette Allen, her children John, Gilbert, and Kimberly Rudd, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like the Florida Hospice Association to receive donations. www.floridahospices.org Services will be at First Christian Church of The Beaches Wednesday January 14th at 11am.
