

Marilyn D. Harvey, 64, passed away January 6 , 2015. She was born May 16, 1950 in St. Augustine to Fred and Margaret Danahoo and was raised in Switzerland, FL. She retired from Bellsouth after 37 1/2 years of dedicated service and was a member of Victory Lutheran Church, Jacksonville.
Preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Margaret, she is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, John Harvey; daughter, Amanda R. Harvey; son, William S. Harvey (Jenna); and grandsons, William S. Harvey, Jr., and Blake A. Harvey. She is also survived by her siblings, Mickey Donahoo (Francis), J.C. Donohoo, Danny Danahoo (Alice) Eugene Danahoo (Bettie) and Kathryn Rainey (Patrick); sister-in-laws, Edna Robb and Judith A. Sherlock (Paul); and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday Jan. 10th at Victory Lutheran Church, Kernan Blvd., Jacksonville with Pastor Phil Hoyer presiding.
She will be intered in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan 12th. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL and from 10-11 am Saturday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida (McGraw Center) in Marilyn’s memory.
