Michael Joseph Malloy

Michael J. "Mick" Malloy 72, resident of Jacksonville, passed away May 25 surrounded by loved ones. Survived by loving wife Rae Anne Malloy of 47 years. Son Michael Malloy, wife Jenny, and two granddaughters Julia and Karley of Navarre, FL. Son Matthew Malloy and wife Jennifer of Oviedo, FL. Brothers Richard Malloy and wife Jeanette of Louisville, KY; Robert Malloy and wife Cora of Lexington, NC; Brother-in-law Kenneth States of Cresson, PA., and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Paul and Mary Malloy and sister Florence States.

Mick was born in 1943 in Cresson, PA, honorably served in the United States Air Force, and a longtime dedicated employee of Omni Freight Brokers, Ponte Verde Beach for 29 years. Mick enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, and having a cold beer in a frosty mug and always had a smile on his face.

Visitation will be held May 31 at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens in Jacksonville Beach from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Jacksonville Beach June 1 at 11:00 A.M. Burial at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
