Born in Chicago, Illinois, August 24, 1927, she was a long time resident of Jacksonville Beach. She also spent time in the Saddle Oak Club Community in Ocala, Fl.
Her fondest memories include leading line dancing with her dancing troupe, “Footloose and Fancy Free Dancers” in Ocala, and leading line dancing in various senior centers wherever she was and whenever she could. She was heavily involved in the wonderful organization Parents Without Partners (PWP.)
She was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. She was an active member of St Paul’s Catholic Church at Jacksonville Beach.
She is survived by her three children: Theresa (Terry) Welch and Chrissy Kriz Ruddy (husband Jim) of Jacksonville Beach, FL and her son John Kriz (wife Shelby) of Little Rock, AR, 4 grandchildren – Andrew Welch (wife Amy), Daniel, Benjamin and Sara Jean Kriz and 2 great-grandchildren – Landon and Clayton.
The Kriz Family would like to extend a heart felt “thank you” to the staff of Avante at Jacksonville Beach. We especially want to thank the incredible angels of Sub-Acute West. You cared and loved for our mother like the family that you have become to us. “You excel them all!”
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Dial-A-Ride or B.E.A.M. These fine organizations truly serve the Beaches Community in so many wonderful ways.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Saturday June 9 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 435 1st Ave. N. Jacksonville Beach.
