Sincere sympathies and prayers to Rick's family - I knew Rick for over 20 years mostly through playing golf with him - and he did several property closings for me - he was a true gentleman and a very good golfer - and as a fierce competitor usually came out on top - will miss his comradery and competition on the golf course (he would always walk all the way across putting green to shake my hand) - Cheers Rick & RIP

I am terribly sorry to learn of my law school classmate, Rick's death.  He was always a gentleman and a scholar.  No wonder he became a great lawyer.  We shall miss Rick at our reunions.

I’m so saddened to learn of Rick’s passing ... it just doesn’t seem possible. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go to Pam, David, Gardner, grandchildren and Rick’s entire family. This was a special man who made everyone else feel good just by being around him.

I have sent to Pam and to close friends my more lengthy reflections … too lengthy to post here. I will only say that my memories of Rick date back more than 40 years and they are rich, funny and bring great happiness for me to remember. I hope they do the same for Pam and Rick’s family and many friends.

More than any other memory I will forever have of Rick, I see his warm beautiful smile and hear that infectious laugh that you can’t ever forget ... being with him was always fun and made life happier. 

I will miss the rekindled friendship we planned but didn’t get around to ... It reminds me that at this point in life - life is short. Rest in Peace my friend. I hope to see you on the back nine.

So very sorry to hear this news. After graduating Freeman together, Rick and I were roommates first year at UVA and after staying out of school a year, I followed Rick to UVA Law. Rick was smart and an all around fun guy.  We talked sporadically but not recently.  I know he was an excellent lawyer which came as no surprise to me.
I am sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of Rick's passing.  I enjoyed working with Rick over the years in real estate.  Rick was always upbeat and willing to do what was needed to make a transaction work.  He always beamed when speaking of his family.  He will truly be missed.

Rick will be missed by his friends in Colorado where he and Pam  spent time in the summer.  Rick was so friendly and fun to be around.  He was always active with his golf and biking in particular.   We will always see him in our mind’s eye looking out at the mountain and painting another of his beautiful paintings.  Our sincere sympathy to Pam and all his family.

We met Rick  & Pam a few years ago vacationing in Avon Colorado.  We hit it off immediately & continued to see them every year that they visited.  Rick was such a kind & generous man, so full of vitality &love of life.  We will miss him terribly.
What a tragic loss.

Rick will surely be missed by many. Our families have been friends for 30+ years and have shared numerous milestones. We are so very sorry for your loss.
