He was born in Joplin, Missouri on December 5th, 1944.
He was married to Sue Ann Enkler-Long on June 14th, 1963.
Roger had a career with the US Navy as a Machinist Mate, and after his retirement worked in the Jacksonville Ship Yard.
He was a member of American Legion Post 316 and had a passion for race cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his children; Roger Keith Long Jr, and Kimberly Sue Long; grandchildren Jessica Kymberly Hidenrick, Carlee LaRaine Canova, Ashlee Michelle Canova-Torres, and Mariah Len Canova-Johns; brother Randy Burss, and sister Cheryl Burss.
