She was born in Isabela, Philippines to Natalia Dumlao and Patricio Dumlao on November 5, 1943.
After graduating from Hospital de San Juan De Dios School of Nursing in 1964, “Rosie” moved to the United States in 1966 to work at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
It is here that Rosie met Rudy, they were married in 1967 and had their only child, Nerissa, in 1968. From there, the young family moved to Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida and in 1976 they moved to Jacksonville Beach where she lived out the rest of her life. She spent much of her free time scrapbooking and spoiling her grandchildren. Rosie was a wonderful cook, loving mother and caring individual who was a ray of positive light to everyone she met. She spent her entire 45 year career as a loyal and hard working nurse at Beaches and Memorial Hospitals.
Rosie is survived by her husband Rudy, her daughter Nerissa, and her three grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 7 at 11am at the Hardage-Giddens Chapel located at 1701 Beach BLVD in Jacksonville Beach.
