

William Addison Omohundro, 85, passed away August 19, 2012 in Atlantic Beach, FL. Born in Richmond, VA, he graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor's Degree in 1947, Georgia Institute of Technology with an Engineering degree in 1955, and achieved his Master s Degree in 1985 from University of Columbia and Doctorate in Math in 1995 from Syracuse University. He was a veteran of the US Army, Special Services and was honorably discharged after WWII. He was a past-employee of GE, US Surgical, and United Technologies-Carrier Division, his last position being Carrier s World Wide Marketing Director. Bill had a passion for his children and sports, especially the University of Virginia Football Program. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynda Delight Omohundro; first born son, William Addison Omohundro, Jr. of Texas, middle son, Jeffery Floyd Omohundro, of Virginia; and his youngest son, Robert Lloyd Omohundro of Atlanta; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23rd at Fleet Landing, 1 Fleet Landing Blvd., Atlantic Beach, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fleet Landing Legacy Fund.
