Amy T. Turner, age 54, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL. Amy was born October 10, 1957 in Alma, Georgia to James W. “Slim” and Jenness (Tanner) Taylor. Amy was a member of Thomas Creek Baptist Church. In her spare time Amy enjoyed spending hours crocheting and many hours reading the Bible and doing Bible studies. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her devoted husband Dean Turner of 16 years; three sons Frankie Smith, Winfred “Booge” Hess (Jennifer), and Donald Turner (Jessie); three daughters Susan Copper (Rusty), Lana Wright (Robert), and Glenda Turner; one sister Sherrie Wilds (Johnny); thirteen grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Family will receive family and friends on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville., FL 32205. Graduation Celebration will be held in her honor 11:00 am, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
