Ann Joyce Pashia

Ann Joyce Pashia passed away at the age of 90 on June 16, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on September 21, 1932 in Rossburn, Manitoba, Canada to Michael and Victoria Busko. She moved to the United States at age 20 and earned her citizenship at age 26. She lived in Festus, Missouri where she met and married the love of her life, Jerry E. Pashia, on September 19, 1953.

Ann worked as a civilian for the military while living in Canada fabricating munitions parts for aircraft. She later worked as a seamstress making and fixing clothing. She moved to the U.S. with family and worked as a waitress and met her husband. They moved to Florida in 1967 and opened a local convenience store called, “Dinsmore Market,” but everyone called it, “Jerry's.”

She loved the beach, traveling, outdoor activities, sewing, cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her son, Tyrone Pashia; daughter, Colleen Keeling (Mike); two grandchildren, Ryan Keeling (Lauren), and Ashley Henry (Jhon); three great-grandchildren, Ava Keeling, Gabriel Henry, and Victoria Henry; and two sisters, Alexandria Mae Brennies and Darleen Julie Madden.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Jerry E. Pashia; parents, Michael and Victoria Busko; four brothers, Paul Busko, Andrew Busko, Ernest Busko, and Elmer Busko; and two sisters, Nellie Schultz and Olive Hulme.

A visitation for Ann will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.

A reception will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
