April Davis Murillo

April Davis Murillo, a beloved and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend transitioned to her heavenly home on October 24, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on March 10, 1957, in Albemarle, NC.

She was predeceased by her father, Charles Davis and her very beloved mother, Nancy Davis. She is survived by her husband MSG Michael Murillo- U.S. Army retired, son, Del Cunningham (Tamiko). Also, brothers, Darrell (Anita), Brian (Clara), and David (Eva). As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

April was known for her bright smile, undeniable beauty, kind heart, selfless, and thoughtful nature. Her generous and compassionate spirit touched the lives of all of those she encountered, and her humorous personality brought joy to those around her.

April enjoyed and thrived in a fulfilling,twenty plus years career in property management before her retirement. Her dedication and devotion to her work were admired by colleagues and clients alike.

April and Michael shared thirty-five years of life filled with love,travel, commitment, family and laughter. April was a mother devoted to her one and only son, Del Cunningham, and his wife, Tamiko whom she treated as her own. She was also a proud grandmother to her granddaughter, Amari, whom she adored and allowed to affectionately rename her, "Mimi".

In her personal life, April loved cooking for friends and family, delighting them with her delicious, amazing culinary skills. She had a passion and natural talent for interior design, decorating, sports, shopping, music, dancing and gathering with family and friends. April took great joy in decorating for the holidays, making the holiday season special for everyone. She always made her home warm and inviting.

April Davis Murillo will be remembered for her generous heart, beautiful and infectious smile, love for people and making everyone feel as if they were never a stranger but always a friend. She made this world a better place.
