Arthur Daniel Gayle, age 84, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Arthur was born in Jacksonville, FL on May 1, 1937 and graduated from Paxon High School. He was married to Peggy J. Gayle, worked at Allstate Steel and had a passion for his family, skating, and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy J. Gayle; son John Daniel Gayle (Danny); father Thomas Gayle; mother Isabel Gayle; and sisters Orvena Morgan and Faye Anderson.
He is survived by daughter Debbie J. Ray (Mark Ray); grandchildren Katie Jacobs, Felishia Jacobs, Andrew Ray, Allison Ray; great-grandchildren Eli Jacobs and Jonah Ray; siblings Artiena Beattie (Grenville), Pat Chafin (Jim), Sharon Beattie, Jerlean “Tiny” Williams (Ted) and Edith Heavener.
A visitation for Arthur will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM at Riverside Memorial Park.
