Arthur “Papa” Lemen of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on July 23, 1936, in Jacksonville, FL to Paul Lemen and Rita Hatcher Lemen.
Arthur was a devoted husband and a man of unwavering dedication. He retired as an electrician and building manager of the Gulf Life Building, where he was admired for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Papa had a lifelong love for carpentry, could fix just about anything, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Even at 80 years old, he was still climbing onto his roof to make repairs. He was happiest when supporting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether cheering at soccer games or watching horse shows.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nikki Lemen; sister, Nancy Lemen Halverson; brothers, Donald Lemen and Nathan Lemen; his children, Leanne Depa and spouse Peter Depa; son, Paul Lemen and spouse, Vickie Leman; grandchildren, Ashley, Jeanna, Jalen, Kayla, and Brendan; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rita Lemen; brother, Paul Leman, Jr.; and sister, Joyce Lemen Scott.
Arthur will be laid to rest at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park, where his family will gather to honor his remarkable life.
