Barbara Foster

She was a native of Jacksonville, Florida, a 1968 Graduate of Robert E. Lee High School (Go Generals!).

Growing up, her family attended Murray Hill Methodist Church.

She obtained her Associate in Arts degree from Florida Junior College (FJC)- Jacksonville 1970.

Barbara was an Enrolled Agent and CEO of Barbara E. Foster Tax and Accounting. She worked in the Accounting Industry for over 50 years.

She was a member of Florida Lure Anglers (FLA)- Jacksonville and was their first female President. She was also a member of Jacksonville Skeet and Trap Club for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James E Edmondson; A.B. and Sarah Margaret Jewell.

Barbara will be dearly missed by her daughter, Susan Foster; sister Diane Jewell Groff (Joey); and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Barbara loved the outdoors and going on adventures with her daughter, Susan. She loved dinners with her best friends, Glenn and Jill Beck, aka. “The Three Amigos”.

Barbara touched many lives and will be missed forever!

A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Hardage- Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
